We’re delighted to have supplied Corsehill Sandsto We’re delighted to have supplied Corsehill Sandstone for this exceptional restoration by @c_w_architects with Ian Parsons Architect; a project that has deservedly been recognised with a 2023 RIAS Award. Built by MPJ Building Contractors, the beautifully restored Category B-listed Papple Steading and its adjoining range showcase the best of sensitive conservation and sustainable re-use. The design celebrates the site’s agricultural heritage while creating a flexible, light-filled modern living space. Behold the artistry carved in stone ✨ We’re thril Behold the artistry carved in stone ✨ We’re thrilled to share this stunning distance stone carved by @lukebatchelorsculptor and our very own @josephine.crossland, as part of the Rediscovering the Antonine Wall project. 🏛️ We supplied this gorgeous Witton Fell stone, rich with natural variation. Every detail, from the deep relief carving to the historic motifs, speaks volumes about the lives and legacies of the Iron Age people alongside the Romans. Their design was refined in consultation with archaeological experts - a Deskford Carnyx (the ancient trumpet-like instrument) and bull’s head motif even found their way into the final piece.
