This rear extension to a Victorian terrace at Wick This rear extension to a Victorian terrace at Wick Road, Bristol showcases how traditional materials can be re-imagined for low-carbon construction. Designed by @roh_studio and built by @bristolsusbuild , the scheme combines timber, stone and lime, with Darney Heritage split and sawn-faced bricks chosen as a more sustainable alternative to conventional clay bricks. Load-bearing sawn Darney stone lintels articulate the openings, while reclaimed clay tile coping connects the new work to its historic setting.
